James found his home at Fox Tax in July 2026. He started his public account career in 2018 working for a small CPA firm in Iowa, becoming an Enrolled Agent in December 2020. Originally living in Illinois, he moved to New York in June 2022 to explore new opportunities on the east coast with his now wife, Nicole.
His career focus has been on individuals and small businesses, helping people navigate the ever-changing landscape of the tax code. While understanding the tax code is very satisfying, James is most energized when working directly with his clients, clarifying complex mechanisms in tax law, then turning it into an engine to achieve their long-term goals / plans.
When not deep in tax code and helping his clients, James is an avid lover of partner dancing with his wife (which is how they met in the first place), attending renaissance fairs, running role-playing games with his friends (i.e. Dungeons & Dragons), and spending time with his two adorable cats.
